Our Role

The Welsh Aesthetic and Cosmetic Society has been established to provide an educational and best practice forum for practitioner professionals delivering aesthetic and cosmetic services to the people of Wales. With a variety of educational resources available to members including biannual conferences, WACS has a central role in improving the standards of practice for the industry and its patients.

Our Board

As a not-for-profit members organisation WACS has an elected Executive Board covering all aspects of aesthetic and cosmetic medicine. This enables the organisation to consider any practice related issue.

Prof Steve Davies, MD FRCP

Chairman

Consultant Endocrinologist and Aesthetic Trainer. Steve has been training in aesthetics for over a decade and has established postgraduate diploma programmes run in conjunction with the University of South Wales, including the Cosmetic Medicine Course. He has over 100 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals including BMJ, Circulation, and The Lancet.

Jane Laferla

Board Member

Registered Nurse and Independent Nurse Prescriber specialising in aesthetic medicine since 2007. Jane is a national clinical trainer for Schuco International and Lead Nurse for Wales for the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses, offering training, mentorship and clinical supervision to practitioners new to the speciality.

Jeremy Isaac

Board Member

Principal dentist for over twenty years with a special interest in aesthetic, cosmetic and implant dentistry, along with facial rejuvenation. Jeremy is a certified Cerec trainer regularly invited to instruct and lecture at conferences, mentoring fellow dental professionals.

WACS is a representative group for everyone in Wales interested in aesthetic and cosmetic medicine, whether you work in the medical and healthcare sector, as an independent practitioner, or you are a patient.
